Parampujypad Srila Bhakti Kinkar Damodar Goswami Maharaj

Our Merciful Monk Srila Bhakti Kinkar Damodar Goswami Maharaja, who is present amongst us presently is one of the spiritual leader of the mission of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and His associates in the world today. He is the dearly beloved disciple of Srila Paramacharya Dev Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaja and who is in turn the equally beloved disciple of Srila Bhakti Dayita Madhav Goswami Vishnupada, Founder Acharya of All India Sree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math.

Childhood and youth

Srila Bhakti Kinkar Damodar Goswami Maharaja has taken birth in India, most sacred land also known as the cradle of spirituality, on 16th of October 1981 in a South Indian orthodox brahmin family. While still a young student, He decides to leave His home in search of a guide who could answer to His questions. In 1999, He finally meets His most beloved Srila Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaja. At first sight Srila Maharaja understands He has finally met His spiritual master and decides to dedicate His entire life to pleasing He who is already accepted as His Gurudeva.

The rising of He who proves to be an exceptional disciple

Srila Maharaja is thus given initiation according to the rites of Gaudiya Vaishnavas and lives the following years in ashrams perfecting His knowledge and His abilities as a preacher. He travels India from North to South, organizing preaching programs for His Spiritual Master, and taking the Holy Name in the streets, from Jalandhar to Bangalore and from Calcutta to Mumbai.

TIRTHA Ashram and contributions

In 2008 TIRTHA Ashram is founded by most beloved Srila Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaja and Srila Maharaja is put in the service of Tirtha Ashram. Through Tirtha Ashram He establishes and maintains educational institutions such as Tirtha Teachings Foundation, making moral and spiritual education accessible to all – thus promoting the very basis of all human civilizations. Hospitals and centres of protection for cows are promoted and established, a project very dear to Srila Maharaja’s heart.

A rare personality

On 27 February 2010 Srila Maharaja is given Sanyas and becomes the youngest Sanyasi of Sri Chaitanya Gaudiya Math. Since then, He tirelessly and extensively travels the roads of India and the West preaching the message of Divine Love, inspiring all those that meet Him to chant The Holy Names of The Supreme Lord. Dotted with a rare personality, His joyful presence, genuine love, and care for all brings peace and harmony even to the most morally deprived. His understanding of human nature and the laws of this world allows those who desire to get out of this plane of duality to access another reality. A world where love is the only master and where one can access the lost connection with The original creator. It is to be particularly notice that having a nature fundamentally tolerant, Srila Maharaja has a view of spirituality free from all traces of sectarianism and can therefore be approached by all seekers, regardless of their religion or beliefs.

A perfect servant

From June 2010 to September 2018, Srila Maharaja stays with Srila Bhakti Vijnana Bharati Maharaja, God brother of His Spiritual Master, as His personal servant, accepting Him as His siksha Gurur, serving Him according to the standards of His own Spiritual Master, Srila Bhakti Ballabh Tirtha Goswami Maharaja. Like for all His other activities He does so with outmost dedication and under the protection and guidance of His spiritual Master; in His service to Srila Bharati Maharaja, Srila Maharaja repeatedly proves being entirely focused on the satisfaction of His Gurudeva.

A perfect guide

In 2015 under the insistence of He who is also His Siksa Guru, most revered Srila Bhakti Niketan Turyashrami Goswami Maharaja, who would upon meeting Him repeatedly recite those words of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu : “…”, Srila Maharaja accepts to take as disciples those who approach Him in need of a guide and shelter. Today Maharaja regularly visits those centers created in different parts of India, taking personal care of each and every (each) person, making sure they understand the precepts of Gaudiya Vaishnavism and are able to follow the philosophy and rituals of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. His dedication and affection towards those who show even just a drop of interest for The Supreme Lord, no matter their background or belief, make Him the perfect guide as He will unconditionally support them in their efforts and journey towards The Lord. Today Srila Maharaja and those assisting Him in the mission of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu have created centers across India where all are welcome, where all can take shelter and progress on the path of attaining Divine Love. Apart from giving His time to those centers, Srila Maharaja visits on a regular basis a large number of (many) other places, which can be even most remote, blessing and giving scope to the devotees and inhabitants of the area, promoting Sankirtana yajna.

Promoting the words of His Spiritual Master

Amongst Srila Maharaja’s most important contributions to the world it is to be mentioned making the words and writings of His revered spiritual master available in many languages, facilitating, and financing the translations and printing of His books. By the grace of Srila Maharaja’s efforts, those books are available today in French, Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian and Tamil. Under His direct instruction they are freely distributed in the countries where those languages are spoken.

Today

When not traveling, Srila Maharaja resides in Govardhan, a highly holy place, where Tirtha Ashram is located and where He can overlook the projects initiated by Tirtha Ashram, while welcoming and taking devotees on Vraj Parikrama, introducing them to The Holy Dham.
